To avoid chaos people should give up their freedom to a government that will unsure order so goverment should be strong and able to supress rebellion. He believes in absolute monarchy and a powerful government. He was one of the main philosphers who founded materialism.


Why does Hobbes believe that an absolute monarch is the best form of government for the people?
Hobbes believed that an absolute monarch is the best forn of government for the people because he thought people were cruel, greedy and selfish and if they werent stricktly contolled they would fight, rob and opress eachother.
